1) Onions preferably white - 2 (small) or 1 (big), Sliced

2) Tomatoes - 1 big or 1.5 small , finely chopped

3) 2-3 flakes of garlic (finely chopped or ground to paste)

4) Oil - 2 tablespoons

5) Tomato ketchup/chili sauce - 1 tablespoon (optional)

6) Milk - 1 tablespoon

7) Salt - to taste

8) Red Chili Powder - 1/2 tablespoon

9) Mushrooms (10-15) , sliced

Procedure Edit

1) Heat 2 tablespoon oil in a kadhai.

2) Add 2-3 flakes of garlic (finely chopped or ground to paste) to the oil

3) Add 2 sliced onions and fry till golden brown

4) Add 1 teaspoon salt and 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder to the onions and stir fry for another 2 mins.

5) Add 2 very finely chopped tomatoes and fry till the oil separates.

6) To the onion-tomato mixture, add 1 tablespoon tomato ketchup (and some chili sauce, if you like). Also add one tablespoon of milk. Mix thoroughly for a min.

7) Add one cup of water and let the gravy come to a boil.

8) Add sliced mushrooms and one cup of peas to the gravy. Cover the kadhai and let it simmer for 20mins.

9) Tasty mushroom curry is ready :)
